Family to Family Program

Family to Family Program

In partnership with Franklin County Children’s Services (FCCS) since November 1999, the Family To Family program helps strengthen and support families that are referred from FCCS. Family To Family embrace the following practice principles:

  • Treat families with respect and engage them as active participants in achieving safety, permanency, and well-being for their children
  •  Refer families to community resources when appropriate
  • Educate staff and assist them in developing cultural competency to broaden their understanding of the ethnic cultures and practices of the diverse populations they serve
  • Work collaboratively with other professional serving the family

The Family To Family Program utilizes the principles of the Family To Family program with additional focus on shifting families from reliance on FCCS to achieving independence through natural community support.
