Food and Nutrition Center Expanding Services

On August 1st the St. Stephen’s Community House Food and Nutrition Center (FNC) will undergo a small renovation to begin expanding its services on August 5th.  The FNC will be closed on August 1st and 2nd.

The expansion of services will now allow visitors to “shop” for fresh produce every day!  See below for some helpful FAQs:

Q: So, what is happening?

A: Beginning August 5, 2019, The St. Stephen’s Community House Food and Nutrition Center will be expanding its services. With this expansion, we will no longer be supplying canned goods. Instead, consumers will be able to shop for fresh produce every day and will have a “Protein Pass” to use once a month.

Q: What is a Protein Pass?

A: Formerly known as a “Full Shop Through,” your Protein Pass will allow you to receive grain items (pasta, rice, beans), peanut butter as available, and meat, once a month.

Q: How do I get my Protein Pass?

A: Simply check-in with the front desk like you would normally when you were using your full shop.

Q: Can I really visit every day?

A: Yes! We encourage you to visit us as often as you need to receive fresh produce. Take what you can use for a few days, or for a week, and come back to get more when you are running low!

Q: Where should I go if I need food during your closure?

A: Our Fresh Produce Market will be open from 2-4 PM on August 1st.  We encourage you to visit Mid-Ohio Foodbank to see available sites based off your county of residence and zip code. Click HERE to be directed to their site.

If you have questions, please feel free to give the FNC a call at 614-294-6347 ext 300!
